Serial specimens of larval Acanthogobius ommaturus

Larval Acanthogobius ommaturus is abundant in coastal water and estuaries of ECS in Spring. We collected serial specimens of it in Apr 2017, which range from pre-flexion to flexion ( near post-flexion ).

As mentioned in the previous post, the dash-like melanophore near the end of anal fin the is possibly a valid feature to make a distinction with Chaeturichthys stigmatias which possesses a relatively round and inapparent melanophore in this position.
